To Marie’s parents, family, friends and beyond, my deepest condolences at the sudden loss of a beautiful and vibrant character. I knew Marie from her days at Luckley, and whilst I hadn’t seen her for many years, I’ve watched from afar her love of life, the love for the mighty West Ham team and only hope her zest for life provides much comfort to you all. A poem I find helps.. Do not stand By my grave, and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep— I am the thousand winds that blow I am the diamond glints in snow I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle, autumn rain. As you awake with morning’s hush, I am the swift, up-flinging rush Of quiet birds in circling flight, I am the day transcending night. Do not stand By my grave, and cry— I am not there, I did not die. RIP Marie. Shine bright. X Love Dawn
