Dearest Marie, This is so hard to write but I'll do my best to do you justice. Marie and I were together for a few years back in the early oo's and I remember those years as some of the happiest, funniest times in my life. We did so many wonderful things during those years but my best memory of her is when we travelled together. We backpacked across Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand on the way learning to dive,  fruit picking on a blueberry farm and living in a tent for over a month in outback Australia, living in a campervan, snorkelling with sharks in Malaysia, trekking in the jungle, playing tennis with a Maori biker gang in NZ and of course having a few wild boozy nights out along the way. Marie never changed, no matter where we were or whatever difficulty we faced. She always treated every experience with infectious enthusiasm and that amusing laugh. She loved life & people and lived every minute. She could arrive at a hostel in the middle of nowhere and within 5 minutes she'd know everyone's name, life story, what music they liked and who they supported. She had the ability to find common ground with anyone, no matter their background and to make them feel at ease and open up. People loved her. She helped me so much to find the beauty and above all fun in life and I don't think I've ever laughed so much as some of the times when we were together. So Marie, farewell to my travelling buddy I can't believe you are gone. Wherever you are,  I bet you're raising hell, making friends and getting everybody to sing the Boss.  Arrivederci, until we meet again Renato Xx
